How To Order
Minimum Order:
MangaBeads prefers a minimum first order of $400.
This amount allows for a representative sampling of the jewelry items.
Subsequent orders may be less.
Ordering:
Orders may be placed by the online
order form or the printable order form and
sent by e-mail, mail or fax. The buyer will be sent a draft invoice
for approval prior to the order being fabricated.

Special Orders:
Buyers are welcome and encouraged to place special
orders (see the Animal Safari and Mists
of Asia collections). Color preferences, necklace length, animal
choices or other requests are welcome. Clip-on earrings are made upon
request. Some requests may change the cost of an item. Please feel
free to contact Maria for details.
Open Orders:
Many buyers prefer to give a dollar amount for
an order and leave the selection of the items to Maria. In this case,
a variety of items will be included based on the instructions from
the buyer.
Completion Time:
Average completion time is 6-8 weeks. Orders
of $400 or less may average 3-4 weeks. All orders will be completed
in the order of their submission. Buyer may state when they wish to
receive their order, otherwise they will be contacted when the order
is completed.
Payment:
In an effort to maintain low prices credit cards
are not accepted Payment may be made by check or money order. A net
30 day policy is in place for all zoo and aquarium friends. Please
make chjecks payable to "Maria Baker".

Shipping Policy:
Preference is given to FedEx Ground. Please indicate
if there is another preference in carriers. Insurance will be included
in the shipping cost.
Price Changes:
Occasionally price changes may be necessary.
If an increase occurs, it will be noted on the website or on collateral
in the month of January. The price will then be held throughout that
year. In an effort to maintain price points favorable to zoo and aquarium
shops, substitute stones, pearls or beads may be used. These substitutions
will be subtle and will not change the spirit or integrity of the
piece. Such changes are based on availability and current cost of
components used in the jewelry. By being flexible in this manner,
prices may be held down and the jewelry pieces may be viewed as unique
and of a “limited” quantity. Please feel free to ask about
this policy.
Donation Policy:
Each December, the total purchases of each buyer
are calculated and 10 percent of that year’s gross will be donated
for any conservation program being conducted at that institution.
The donation check will be sent to the zoo director or development
director with a copy of the letter sent to the gift store buyer.
Customer Service:
It is Maria’s sincere wish to provide the
highest customer service to all her zoo and aquarium friends.
- Shipments will include instructions for the care
of the knotted jewelry. These instructions may be given to the
customer, as well as provide information for the store personnel.
- Jewelry items will have tags which include the
identification of beads used.
- Earrings are shipped on MangaBead cards with
clips for hanging.
- Please inspect your shipment within five days
of delivery to verify that all pieces arrived safely. If an item
has been “injured” during shipment, please return
immediately. Your shipping cost will be refunded to you. Please
contact Maria if for any reason you
are not satisfied with your order.
- Repairs will be done at no cost to the gift shop.
Repairs for customers will be done at no cost if there is defective
workmanship. There will be a cost to replace a component that
a customer has lost or if the customer is responsible for the
damage. Store personnel are welcome to contact Maria to discuss
any such problems.
